President of Turkmenistan instructs to step up innovation in private business

At a working meeting held on March 24, issues related to improving the activities of the sphere of trade and entrepreneurship in the context of the implementation of the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2020-2025 were discussed.

The Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on solving the problems of supplying private enterprises that produce food products with necessary raw materials and production facilities.

Joint work with ministries and sectoral departments were reported to increase the production of vegetables, melons, meat, dairy, and other products of daily demand.

The head of state was also informed about the construction progress of a number of facilities entrusted to entrepreneurs.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the important role of the non-state sector in modernizing the national economy, increasing output and assortment of competitive products, ensuring food abundance and increasing the country’s export potential, creating new import-substituting industries and jobs. At the same time, the importance of introducing innovations for the successful implementation of the Program of social-economic development of Turkmenistan was noted.

The comprehensive state support provided to private business contributes to a radical modernization of the business community, the Turkmen leader said.

The head of state ordered that all measures are taken to ensure high-quality and timely execution of work at facilities planned for commissioning by the 25th anniversary of neutrality.
