Meeting with the OECD delegation.
Delegation of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) led by the Head of Eurasia Division for Economic Cooperation William Thomson was hosted on October 2 at the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The OECD representatives visited Turkmenistan for the first time where got acquainted with structure and major economic indicators of the TUIE activity, achievements of members of the organization in the implementation of large-scale projects in various fields.
Then guests informed about the activity of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, presently incorporating 36 states of the world, also shared with their plans towards their stay in our country. In particular, it was noted the interest in the study of the domestic market and private business role in it.
TUIE members were invited to participate in a topical workshop, which will be taken place on October 3 in Ashgabat and will be dedicated to the indicators of goods market regulation, developed by the OECD, including for the improvement of the private sector of Turkmenistan.
